I can now see why the majority of the player base is refusing to go past Bronze. To reach Rank 1 in Gold requires over twice the effort (providing you win every game) compared to Bronze, with 4 times less 'irrecoverable' ranks. Bronze: 800 Steel, 400 Doubloons, Silver: 1,000 Steel, 600 Doubloons, Gold: 1,200 Steel, 800 Doubloons, 1 Ranked Token. Rewards for reaching Rank 1 in Each League (Doubloons and Steel only). Bronze: 14 (League has 4 'Irrecoverable' Ranks), Silver: 20 (League has 2 'Irrecoverable' Ranks), Gold: 30 (League has 1 'Irrecoverable' Rank). Stars Required in each League to Rank out.

I also feel the lack of 'guaranteed' coal after reaching Rank 1, has not given the majority of the player base that plays Ranked, to move up to the higher leagues. The 'increase' in rewards doesn't justify, the increase of work to reach Rank 1 (at each respective league). The lack of players reaching higher leagues (Silver, Gold etc) is down to one reason. (I'll use the EU Number) Bronze: 24,402 vs Silver: 1,332. Comparing the amount of Ranked Containers being 'earned' at each league.
